Original antique coloured print From "Naturgeschichte des Pflanzenreichs" by Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert, published in Stuttgart & Munich, around 1880. An original 1880 first edition book plate retrieved from a disbound book by the physician and naturalist von Schubert (1780 - 1860). It is presented as a naturally-folded double page image; the scans show the 2 halves, the photo shows the entire print. The lithograph has delicate pastel colours printed on a good quality antique paper, measuring approximately 12.5 x 18 inches (32 x 45 cm), and is blank on the reverse. Condition can be seen from the image (SEE PICTURE) Your purchase is this original plate; I do not deal in modern reprints, reproductions or copies. This print would look lovely when mounted and framed, either on its own, or in a display with other of her botanical illustrations. All prints of this age should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight.
