Description: Striking and highly detailed interesting original lithographic view of the Kremlin at Moscow, Russia. Several Natives adorn the view.
The Moscow Kremlin (Russian: Московский Кремль, romanized: Moskovskiy Kreml'), also simply known as the Kremlin, is a fortified complex in the center of Moscow. It is the best known of the kremlins (Russian citadels), and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. In addition, within the complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace that was formerly the residence of the Russian emperor in Moscow. The complex now serves as the official residence of the Russian president and as a museum with almost three million visitors in 2017. The Kremlin overlooks the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and Alexander Garden to the west.
The name kremlin means "fortress inside a city", and is often also used metonymically to refer to the Russian government. It previously referred to the government of the Soviet Union (1922–1991) and its leaders. The term "Kremlinology" refers to the study of Soviet and Russian politics.

Auguste Marc Edmй Bry (1805 - January 1880) was a French engraver and lithographer active in Paris in the middle part of the 19th century. Publishing as 'Auguste Bry', he maintained offices at 8 Rue Favart (1839-1842), 134 Rue du Bac (1843), 114 Rue du Bac (1847 - 1850), and after 1850, at 149 Rue du Bac. Bry mastered lithography under none other than Johann Alois Senefelder (1771 - 1834), the German playwright who invented the process. Bry's work was exhibited at various art salons and other exhibitions between 1844 and 1878, where he was awarded 12 medals. He received the Lйgion d'Honneur.
