Thйrond) - Size : 28 cm x 20 cm (margins included) - Excellent condition Йmile Thйodose Therond is a French draftsman, engraver, litographer and illustrator, born March 28, 1821 in Saint-Jean-du-Gard and died on an unknown date. He is for his engravings on wood, etchings and lithogravures produced under the Second Empire. In 1858, he drew and etched the ornate frontispiece and then the portrait, and on wood, the vignettes and frames of the edition of Enamels and cameos Thйophile Gautier. N.B. This lithogravure from around 1860 was the subject, on our part, of a special treatment in order to make disappear the outrages of time and, in particular, the numerous foxings which smeared it. After this treatment, we pasted it on a watermarked paper. This treatment had the effect of "rejuvenating" it; however, it remains an authentic lithogravure from the second half of the 19th century.
