Vintage Porcelain statuette "Gossip Girl" LZFI, 1950
Vintage famous Soviet porcelain statuette "Gossip Girl" (also known as "Modnitsa"). She is part of the sculptural group Conversation, created in the 1950s-1960s.
Manufacturer: Leningrad Porcelain Products Plant (LZFI).
Authors: Sculptors A.V. Degtyarev and L.N. Smorgon. The model was created in 1956.
Porcelain, overglaze art painting.
The statuette is a rocker. It consists of two separate parts: a base with legs and a torso with a wide skirt, which is worn on top and can sway when touched.
The figure depicts a fashionista in glasses and a lush dress with a bright print in the style of the 1950s. In the full composition "Conversation" it usually goes in pair with the second figure - "Sklochnitsa" (or "Fat"), made in another pose.
The statuette is in very good collectible condition.
